Why Fall Is the Best Time to Take a Flower Design Workshop (And We Have Spots Open Next Week)

There is something genuinely special about working with flowers in the fall. The blooms are richer, the colors are deeper, and the whole experience of arranging them feels a little more magical when the season is changing outside. If you've been curious about flower design — or just want to do something creative and different — this is the time to show up.

Fall Flowers Are in a League of Their Own
In spring, everything is soft and pale. Beautiful, yes — but fall is where floristry gets to show off.
This time of year you're working with dahlias in deep burgundy and warm amber, ranunculus layered like little tissue-paper sculptures, snapdragons with dramatic height and movement, garden roses in colors that feel like they were pulled from a sunset. Add dried grasses, preserved eucalyptus, and sculptural dried pods to the mix and you have an arrangement that looks like it belongs in a magazine.
Working with fall blooms in a workshop setting means you get to touch them, smell them, and build something with your own hands — which is a completely different experience from admiring them in a photo. Most participants walk away surprised by how much they loved the process, not just the finished product.
What Our Workshops Are Actually Like
Our workshops run about two hours, and every minute is worth it.
You'll work in a small group — we cap at 16 participants — so it never feels like a crowded class where you're struggling to see the demonstration. Our team walks you through every step using our signature four-step teaching process: we show you how to prep your stems, how to build structure with greenery, how to layer in your focal blooms, and how to finish the arrangement so it holds together beautifully at home.
You don't need any experience. Truly. We've taught complete beginners who had never held a pair of floral scissors and watched them create something genuinely stunning. The whole point is that flower design is learnable — and it's more fun than most people expect.
At the end of the workshop, you take your arrangement home. That's yours. You built it.
